BluTerra straws are currently sold by our Retail Sales Team, Our Wholesale Sales Team who are at the office between 8:30AM- 4:30 PM and on the road from 8:30 AM- 8:30 PM. Our straws are also being sold at Caffe Channing Noelle. BluTerra straws will soon be sold at large grocery stores and distributors. BluTerra’s Compostable Straws are new! Our straws have been created in the Spirit of carbon footprint reduction and suitability, while enhancing performance. BluTerra’s Compostable Straws looks and feels like plastic but will compost in your backyard compost, biodegrade in landfills, and break down in the ocean, should it accidentally end up there. We have recently started deliveries to Nassau and the Family Islands. We are trying to spread the word about these straws that we believe solves the plastic straw problem! We have the capacity for manufacturing large quantities of straws, which we can provide to large hotels, restaurants, cruise ships and food and beverage companies and distributors.
Yes, they are! Unlike paper, our straws are compostable, and no trees have been sacrificed in order to produce our straws. Our materials are all made in The Bahamas and come from nature. BluTerra’s Compostable Straws don’t turn to mush, don’t feel strange in your mouth, nor add any bad taste to your beverage.
All of our materials are produced right here in The Bahamas, and all of our manufacturing happens in the USA at a plant owned by a Bahamian. Manufacturing will soon be happening right here in The Bahamas.
Yes, our current formulation is made from industrial compostable ingredients. In this process our straws will breakdown in 30days or less due to the thin wall thickness.
No, BluTerra Straws look, smell and feel just like a traditional plastic straw. They add no flavor, have no strange feel, and stand up in drinks just like a traditional plastic straw.
Yes, BluTerra will also manufacture single-use cutlery, clamshells, and garbage bags by the end of 2021.
